About the opportunity:

Are you passionate about supporting adult learners and enhancing their educational journeys? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment and have experience in delivering online learning support services, academic literacies and/or  numeracy instruction? If so, we invite you to apply.

As an experienced educator, you will play a crucial role in fostering student success by delivering exceptional learning support to students. You will work closely within a dynamic team, engaging with stakeholders across the university to facilitate independent learning and cater to individual needs. In this role, you'll be involved in both supporting and managing projects and learning support services, providing you with the chance to gain valuable leadership experience

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design, implementation, delivery and evaluation of innovative learning support programs, including those for online students
  • Collaborating with staff across the university to create targeted evidence-based intervention strategies
  • Design, deliver and evaluate programs, training and resources to develop students’ academic and digital literacies, numeracy,and research skills
  • Prepare students for major assessment hurdles or other forms of learning tasks
  • Play a key part in contributing to student transition, retention and success.

Must haves:

An undergraduate degree and/or post graduate qualification in education or related discipline (e.g. TESOL, applied linguistics) with relevant teaching or learning advising experience, either in secondary, adult or higher education, with a focus on academic literacies and/or numeracy.
